Good News!

Dr. Weller came in and suggested today that Lynn's PT try out a new cushion and a lumbar support pad for his wheelchair to see if it would replicate how he feels when he is sitting on the hard mat in the gym (by the way these are raised mats). And the good news is....IT DID!!!! His pain level in the chair went way down and he was up for over 2 hours with only a small, tolerable amount of discomfort, not pain. Hallelujah! We watched a little bit of a ball game together in the common room and went to the gym for OT in the chair. He may be able to eat sitting up by tomorrow or Monday at the latest we think. He just felt wonderful over this latest development.

  1. Oh that is marvelous news - onward and upward so they say! Things are looking up - guess we are not known for our patience, but are learning, right?!!!!

Played for Saturday night Mass tonight as Rachel Vanderlip had three grandchildren baptized. Shall we say they are a quiet bunch at that Mass - thought at least some would sing Here I Am Lord - think I heard about three voices. Can see why Fr. gets exasperated! Oh well, other than roasting - Rachel had prepared a fantastic meal - poor lady must have worked for days!

    Love and prayers,
    Lin

  2. This post made my day dear friends. I am home late from a gathering with friends in Lebanon and came directly to my computer for your daily post. Looking forward to our next conversations Nance and trust your mother is healing up well. Lynn, I love you and am thrilled the pain level is a bit more under control. Praise God!
    Hugs,
    Jody
